Need help with
iptvDX?

Here's the setup guide and the fixes for the most common problems. If none of this solves yours, write to us: we reply within 48 hours.

Getting started

Set up iptvDX in a minute

1

Try it without setting up or paying for anything

When you open the app, tap Continue as guest. You'll see the catalogue, free-to-air TV channels, and you can test the player without configuring anything or creating an account.

Once your playlist is in, play a channel and a movie: you get free playback time for exactly that, to check your provider works before you pay.

2

Connect your playlist

Go to Profile → IPTV setup and choose how to connect:

  • M3U playlist — paste the URL your provider gave you.
  • Xtream Codes — enter the server URL with its port, your username and your password.

Save and wait: iptvDX downloads the catalogue and sorts it into channels, movies and series. With large playlists the first load can take a couple of minutes; leave the app open until it finishes.

On Apple TV it's the same from Settings, but if your playlist is long you'll find it easier to set up on the iPhone.

3

Make it yours

  • Favourites: tap the star on any channel. They appear in their own group, at the top of the category list.
  • Multiple playlists: you can save up to five and switch between them without typing anything again.
  • External subtitles: optional, from Profile. They need your own OpenSubtitles account.

Troubleshooting

Common problems

Check that the URL starts with http:// or https:// and that it opens in a browser. If your provider limits simultaneous connections, log out on other devices before loading it. Very large playlists take a while the first time: leave the app open until it finishes.

That's on the provider, not the app. Try the same channel on another device or player: if it fails there too, the feed is down or the server has pulled it. iptvDX doesn't host or distribute content, it only plays what your playlist returns.

Your provider is refusing the connection. It's usually one of three things: your subscription with them has expired, you've exceeded the simultaneous connections they allow, or your username and password have changed. Check it in your provider's panel and save the details again in the app.

It's almost always the connection or the server. Try Wi-Fi instead of mobile data and check whether the same channel looks bad at other times of day: providers get congested at peak hours. If your playlist offers several qualities of the same channel, pick a lower one.

That's the free version's limit: a few minutes of playback per session. It's there so you can check your playlist works before paying. With iptvDX Pro it goes away. Free-to-air channels and the guest mode demo clip have no limit.

Open Profile → Subscription plan → Restore purchases. If nothing changes, check you're using the same Apple ID you bought with: the subscription is tied to that Apple account, not to the app.

No. The subscription travels with your Apple ID, so it works on every device signed in to that account. If the second device doesn't recognise it right away, quit the app completely and open it again.

From your App Store account settings, not from iptvDX: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You keep access until that date.

Downloads need your own playlist set up. They're blocked in guest mode, because what plays there is a demo clip and not your content. Bear in mind too that not every provider allows downloading: if yours only streams live, there's nothing to save.

iptvDX enriches the catalogue with TMDb data in the background, and with large catalogues that takes time. You can see the progress, pause it and resume it from Settings. The app works in the meantime.

The catalogue and posters are cached so the app opens fast. You can clear it from Settings without losing your playlists or your subscription: it downloads again the next time you connect.

They need your own OpenSubtitles account, set up from Profile. iptvDX doesn't include one. Without it, the player only uses the subtitles that come with the channel or movie itself.

That's intentional: it saves you retyping the server and password. To remove it completely, delete it from the account list in Profile → IPTV setup.

If none of this fixes it

Write to us through the form and tell us which device you use, which version of iptvDX and exactly what happens.

It helps a lot to include the support ID shown in Profile → About: we use it to find your case.
